Finding gay hotels in Pattaya is easier than in many other cities because the whole city has been geared towards gay guests for decades. Practically every house is gay-friendly. Problems at the reception are not an issue here. When choosing a location, the most important thing is which part of the scene interests you. If you want to have Boyztown's nightlife right on your doorstep, it's best to stay centrally around Beach Road, from where Sunee Plaza and the cabaret theatres are also easily accessible.
If you prefer the beach and a relaxed pace, Jomtien is the quieter alternative: the gay beach on the Dongtan section is then within walking distance, and the lively Jomtien Complex is within easy reach in the evening. In addition to the large, mixed-use properties, Pattaya is also home to decidedly gay or gay-run addresses that have long been part of the scene, including the Poseidon Boutique Hotel and resorts in the Jomtien area. More comfort can be found at the beach resorts, while the guesthouses directly in the bar districts score above all with short distances and low prices. Before booking, it is worth briefly checking how far the hotel is from the desired district, because Pattaya is spacious and the individual trendy zones are a few kilometers apart.
