Located in Pattayaland Soi 1, X Boys is a gay-go-go bar. Dancers perform every night, with a warm-up at 10 p.m. and the main show at 11 p.m., complemented by themed nights and special events. The drink prices are moderate, a minimum consumption allows admission. With its central location in the nightlife scene, the bar attracts guests from all over the world.

Die bekannteste Adresse ist Boyztown am hinteren Ende der Beach Road, wo sich rund um die Pattayaland Soi 3 Showbars, Go-go-Lokale und kleine Kneipen aneinanderreihen. Boyz Boyz Boyz gilt als das erste schwule Lokal der Stadt und läuft seit über zwanzig Jahren. Zum Vortrinken mit Blick aufs Geschehen eignet sich die Panorama Pub mit ihrer Dachterrasse. Deutlich günstiger und ruhiger geht es im Sunee Plaza zu, einem Hofkomplex südlich der zweiten Straße. Hier sitzen vor allem ältere Gäste. Viele Bars haben über die Jahre geschlossen, ein paar Klassiker wie die Diamond Bar halten sich aber hartnäckig.
Der dritte und mittlerweile lebhafteste Bereich liegt nicht in Pattaya selbst, sondern weiter südlich im Jomtien Complex. Auf zwei Blocks drängen sich dort Bars, Restaurants und Massagesalons dicht beieinander, und das Publikum ist gemischter und jünger als am Sunee Plaza. Meist gegen 22 Uhr starten die Showbars im Komplex ihr Programm. Vor 21 Uhr geht in Pattaya insgesamt wenig, dafür zieht sich die Nacht oft bis in die frühen Morgenstunden. Eintritt verlangen die wenigsten Lokale. Die Getränkepreise liegen klar unter europäischem Niveau.
