Bangkok
Bangkok is one of the liveliest addresses in Asia and surprises with a large, visible scene. Its center is around Silom, especially Soi 2 and Soi 4, where bars and clubs are lined up. During the day, you'll explore golden temples like Wat Pho, take a boat ride across the Chao Phraya, and feast on unbeatable street food. Thailand is considered tolerant overall, lived openness is particularly evident in the well-known districts and tourist zones – outside of them, restraint towards public tenderness is advisable. With Skytrain and Metro you can get through the city cheaply; apart from that, there is often heavy traffic. The best time to visit is the dry season from November to February, when it is a little cooler. Bangkok combines temple tranquility, hustle and bustle and a lively nightlife into an exciting mix.
