Gay hotels and queer-friendly accommodations are easy to find in Tel Aviv, as the city is one of the most open destinations in the region. A good base is the area between Dizengoff Street, Shenkin and Rothschild Boulevard, where you can walk to bars, cafes and the beach. The location near the beach is also popular, especially around Hilton Beach in the north, which is considered the city's gay beach. If you want to be in the middle of the nightlife, you tend to live south in the direction of Florentin and Neve Tzedek.
You are not limited to certain houses. In Tel Aviv, it is a matter of course for two men to book a double room, and this applies to the large beach hotels as well as to small boutique addresses and apartments. Which location is worthwhile depends on what you have in mind. Beach vacationers are in good hands in the north, night owls drive the shortest from the city center. Plan early if your visit falls in June. During Pride, demand rises sharply, and central houses are often booked out months in advance. The prices are generally above what many people know from southern Europe, but the city is compact and easy to explore on foot.
