Gay bars in Sitges are closer together than almost anywhere else in Europe. In the heart of the scene, in the old town around Plaça de la Indústria, run the narrow streets Carrer de Sant Bonaventura and Carrer del Pecat, popularly known as the "Street of Sin". For a few hundred meters, bar after bar is lined up. Sometimes it's the quiet terrace for the aperitif, sometimes the loud dance bar after midnight. If you start at Plaça de la Indústria in the early evening, you can simply let yourself drift from there, because almost everything can be reached on foot in a few minutes.

The evening starts later here than in Germany. People sit outside until midnight, after which the dance bars fill up, and on summer weekends it stays crowded until the early hours of the morning. The audience is international and correspondingly mixed in midsummer, from younger party guests to regulars who have been coming back for years. There is no big club mile of its own. Instead, the many small bars and changing party rows take over the nightlife, which is once again significantly condensed around Pride in June and during Bears Week in September. Sitges is a small town, and it is precisely this density in a small space that makes going out so appealing. For an overview of local bars and clubs, check out the following addresses.
