The 54 Cocktail Bar & Sunset Lounge is part of the Townhouse Hotel near Manto Square in Mykonos Town. From the SKYBAR on the roof you can look out over the city and the sunset. In Little Venice on Mykonos is Katerina's Bar & Restaurant, overlooking the sea and the windmills. In the former family home, there is a cocktail bar at fair prices upstairs, and a restaurant downstairs directly on the water with Mediterranean and Greek specialties such as fresh seafood and risotto. The terrace is particularly atmospheric at sunset, and owner Katerina takes care of the warm ambience.
Gay bars in Mykonos are almost all located in Chora, the island's capital, and so close to each other that you can walk from door to door all evening. The focal point is the Jackie O' Town Bar at the old port, not far from the famous Paraportiani church. From about 11 p.m., the alley in front of it fills up. The guests stand outside with the drink, and the scene shifts from inside to the street. It is precisely this outdoor hustle and bustle that makes the nightlife on the island so special, as the small restaurants open up to the maze of alleys of the old town and merge into each other.
In addition to the Jackie O', you will find other addresses in the old town such as Cosma, Porta or Lola, which appeal to a predominantly gay audience. The formerly famous Babylon at the harbor, on the other hand, no longer exists. There is no separate large club location for the queer scene. A lot of things take place in the bars and on the streets. In August, the picture tilts once again: During the XLSIOR festival, which runs from August 20 to 25 in 2026, tens of thousands of guests come to the island, and the parties are spread across beach clubs and venues all over Mykonos.
