Gay hotels in Fort Lauderdale can be found most densely in Wilton Manors, the queer center of the region. Within walking distance of Wilton Drive with its bars, cafes and shops are several distinctly gay resorts. Many of these hotels are aimed exclusively at men and are clothing-optional, i.e. with pool and outdoor areas where swimwear is voluntary. Well-known addresses are the Worthington Resort, one of the largest gay resorts of its kind in the USA, as well as smaller houses such as the Inn On The Drive or Billy's Resort.

However, you are not limited to these resorts. In Wilton Manors itself and along the beaches of Fort Lauderdale, there are numerous gay-friendly hotels where no one looks funny when two men book a double bed. Which location is worthwhile depends on what you have in mind. If you're looking for nightlife, Wilton Manors is the shortest distance to the bars. If you're primarily interested in the beach, you're better off closer to the Atlantic Ocean, such as around the section of Sebastian Street Beach known as Gay Beach. Plan early if you're visiting for the Winter Party Festival in February or Stonewall Pride in June, as the gay houses fill up quickly. The following selection will help you find the right location for your stay.
