Gay bars in Fort Lauderdale are almost entirely concentrated in Wilton Manors, a small town in its own right north of the center. The central axis of the scene is Wilton Drive, which lines up bar after bar and lounge after club on a few blocks, most of them within walking distance. After Provincetown, Wilton Manors is considered the second gayest city in the USA, and you can see that on every corner. Classics like Georgie's Alibi Monkey Bar have been shaping the street since the late 1990s. They are considered to be one of the triggers for turning a run-down neighborhood into a gayborhood with a nationwide reputation.

The offer covers very different preferences. The Manor is one of the bigger addresses with a dance floor and program, Hunters attracts a party crowd, plus bars like the Eagle Wilton Manors and the Ramrod for the leather and fetish scene. In February, it gets particularly crowded around the Winter Party Festival and the White Party. During Tropical Bear Week in late March and early April, the bear scene meets more often. On weekends, the drive goes deep into the night, during the week the sound is more relaxed. The following addresses range from the quiet bar for the end of the day to the club for the long night.
