Gay hotels in Amsterdam are most conveniently located in the centre, where the short distances to the scene make the biggest difference. Around the Reguliersdwarsstraat and the nearby Kerkstraat, you live in the middle of the queer nightlife district, with bars, cafés and canals right on your doorstep. The Kerkstraat is particularly known for its density of queer-friendly hotels and small bed and breakfasts, which have been aimed at gay guests for years.
But you don't have to commit to the trendy district. Amsterdam is very open overall, and in almost every central accommodation, no one looks funny when two men book a double room. If you value sightseeing, you are also in good hands in the Jordaan area or around the Museum Mile and still reach the nightlife quickly by bike or tram. Given the location, it is worth considering beforehand what is in the foreground: short distances to the clubs or peace and quiet for sleeping. The time of your trip is important. For WorldPride 2026 from July 25 to August 8, you should book very early, because the central houses are then booked out well in advance and prices rise significantly. The following selection shows you which location and which house suit your stay.
