On the rooftop there is a pool, spa and ground bar with DJ sets and drag shows on weekends, and on the doorstep are the bars and clubs of Barcelona's gay village.

The Axel TWO Barcelona is the little brother of the legendary Axel Hotel, bringing the same queer, gay-owned concept to a quieter corner of the Eixample. At the top of the rooftop you can relax by the pool, jacuzzi and the pink sky bar with a view over the city, while you are only a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the Gaixample.

Hotel Cram
The Hotel Cram is an elegant design hotel behind an Art Nouveau façade from 1892, located in the middle of the Gaixample, just one block from the Axel Hotel. From the rooftop pool with city views and the Michelin-starred restaurant Àngle, you can walk to the district's queer bars and clubs in a few minutes.
Gay Hotels in Barcelona findest du am dichtesten im Gaixample, dem schwulen Viertel im Eixample Esquerra. Wer hier wohnt, hat Bars, Clubs und Cafés direkt vor der Tür und kurze Wege zu Metro und Innenstadt. Mehrere Häuser im Viertel richten sich ausdrücklich an schwule Gäste oder werben offen mit ihrer queerfreundlichen Haltung. Als Basis fürs Sightseeing taugt das Eixample ebenfalls, denn die Sagrada Família und der Passeig de Gràcia mit den Gaudí-Bauten liegen fußläufig oder eine kurze Metrofahrt entfernt.
Festgelegt bist du auf das Gaixample aber nicht. Barcelona ist eine offene Stadt, und in fast jeder Unterkunft ist es selbstverständlich, dass zwei Männer ein Doppelzimmer buchen. In der Altstadt rund um die Ramblas und das Gòtic wohnst du näher am Hafen und am Strand, dafür lauter und touristischer. Ruhiger und etwas alternativer geht es in Gràcia zu. Welche Lage sich lohnt, hängt davon ab, was du vorhast: Nachtschwärmer fahren vom Gaixample am kürzesten, wer Strand und Tapas will, ist in Richtung Barceloneta gut aufgehoben. Plane früh, wenn dein Besuch auf den Pride Ende Juli oder das Circuit Festival Anfang August fällt, denn dann sind die zentralen Häuser schnell ausgebucht.
