Hier reiht sich Lokal an Lokal, von der kleinen Eckkneipe bis zur Bar, in der erst spät richtig was los ist. Schon in den 1920er Jahren war die Gegend ein Treffpunkt der schwulen Szene. 1969, kurz nach der Entkriminalisierung, eröffnete an der Müllerstraße mit dem Ochsengarten Deutschlands erste schwule Lederbar, die bis heute betrieben wird. Etliche Adressen im Viertel gehören seit Jahrzehnten zur Münchner Szene und sind ein verlässlicher Startpunkt für den Abend.
Neben den klassischen Kneipen gibt es Bars zum Tanzen und das Sub, ein ehrenamtlich getragenes schwules Kommunikations- und Kulturzentrum mit eigener Bar, das vor allem am Wochenende gut gefüllt ist. Eine ausgeprägte Großraum-Clubkultur wie in Berlin hat München nicht, dafür kurze Wege: Im Glockenbachviertel erreichst du die meisten Läden zu Fuß.
