Gay hotels in Cologne are best found in the city center around Rudolfplatz, because from there the Schaafenstraße and the Bermuda Triangle are within walking distance. If you are looking for nightlife, this is an ideal place to stay, because bars, cafés and clubs are right on the doorstep and the way home is short. The old town and the station district are also practical as a location, as they are centrally located and well connected to the train and tram.

You don't have to rely on a designated gay hotel in Cologne. The city is open and relaxed, and in most houses, no one looks twice when two men book a double room. Many hotels also explicitly advertise that they are queer-friendly. Which area is worthwhile depends on what you have in mind: Rudolfplatz is the first choice for the scene and nightlife, while for sightseeing around the cathedral and the banks of the Rhine, you are more centrally accommodated in the old town. If your visit falls during ColognePride, which runs from June 19 to July 5 in 2026, plan early. In these weeks, the central houses are quickly booked up. In the following selection you will find the location and house suitable for your stay.
