Over the turn of the year, VACAYA will take you from Madagascar to the Seychelles on the Ponant yacht Le Dumont d'Urville. Departing from Nosy Be, explore small islands such as Nosy Tanikely and Diego Suarez over ten nights before heading across the Indian Ocean to the remote Seychelles atolls of Assumption, Saint François, and Grande Soeur. Le Dumont d'Urville is part of Ponant's Explorer class and, with space for less than 200 guests, is one of the shipping company's smaller luxury expedition ships – compact enough to call at remote ports that are denied to large ships.

Occasionally, the ship is chartered entirely by specialized LGBTQ+ operators, who offer pure community trips away from the major Caribbean routes, such as along the East African coast or in the Indian Ocean. Unlike the big party ships, with such a small number of passengers, the focus is more on excursions and social life on board than on a continuous program.
