The ship · Celebrity Beyond

The Celebrity Beyond is one of Celebrity Cruises' most modern ships and combines upscale comfort with a more intimate scale – significantly smaller than the very large ocean liners, but with noble furnishings, a rooftop garden and a sun terrace that extends over several decks.

VACAYA, the younger of the two major gay cruise charter companies, has chosen Celebrity Beyond for one of its Caribbean cruises – a deliberate step into the more upscale segment, away from the big party ships. On board, a queer world of its own is created for the duration of the charter with VACAYA's signature blend of music, show and sense of community, garnished with the quieter moments that a smaller ship allows. Anyone who knows VACAYA knows: It's not just the party that counts here, but also the space to take a deep breath.

Frequently asked questions

How does an LGBT cruise differ from a regular one?
As a rule the entire ship is chartered — a 100% queer crowd with its own programme of DJs, drag shows and themed parties.

What is usually included?
Cabin, full board, entertainment and pool are mostly included. Premium drinks, spa and shore excursions are usually charged separately.

Is the trip suitable for solo travellers?
Yes — the solo share is high on many trips, and there are often dedicated solo meet-ups on board.

What are the cancellation terms?
That depends on the operator. You will find the exact deadlines and conditions directly with the provider.

What about safety when docking in restrictive countries?
The operators are careful about route choices. At controversial ports, shore excursions are curated thoughtfully.
