Olivia Christmas Markets Riverboat Cruise 2026

During Advent, Olivia travels through Franconia on a riverboat from Avalon Waterways, booked for lesbian and queer women. It starts on December 2, 2026 with a hotel night in Frankfurt; if you arrive early, you can still manage to see the city's queer Christmas market in the evening. The next morning, you can board the Avalon Panorama. Because the trip only lasts five nights, the stations are close together. There is a guided tour in a walled village on the river, in Würzburg the residence with the largest ceiling fresco in the world and then the Christmas market. Bamberg is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and full of nativity scenes during Advent. Nuremberg concludes with its famous Christmas market and fresh gingerbread. The tours last up to three hours, often over cobblestones; there is a separate group for slower guests. On December 8, the trip ends in Nuremberg, with two nights in Prague as an extension if desired.
