Itinerary

5 stops · 12 nights

  1. 1
    Lima (Peru) Start

Peru's capital on the Pacific combines colonial heritage and modern districts. You will explore the historic old town, feast your way through the award-winning cuisine and enjoy the cliffs of Miraflores.

  2. 2
    Iquitos (Peru)

The largest city in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest is only accessible by boat or plane and will delight you with the floating district of Belén and the gateway to the jungle.

  3. 3
    Amazonas (Peru)

On the mighty river through the rainforest, you will experience dense jungle, exotic wildlife and a silence that is only broken by bird calls and rippling shores.

  4. 4
    Cusco / Sacred Valley (Peru)

The former Inca capital in the Peruvian Andes will inspire you with colonial squares, Inca walls and the nearby Sacred Valley as the gateway to Machu Picchu.

  5. 5
    Machu Picchu (Peru) Finish

The legendary Inca city is perched on a ridge high above the Urubamba Valley in the Peruvian Andes. The ruins, shrouded in fog, are among the most impressive sites in the world.

The ship · Delfin III

The Delfin III is a boutique colonial-style ship with only 22 suites for a maximum of 44 guests – small enough to penetrate deep into the tributaries of the Peruvian Amazon, comfortable enough for five-star standards in the middle of the rainforest. Floor-to-ceiling windows, air-conditioned cabins and an experienced team of naturalist guides characterize the stay on board.

Brand g Vacations, an operator of exclusively gay group tours, regularly charters the ship for multi-day combination trips of Amazon cruise and visit to Machu Picchu. During the day, small dinghies go through tributaries for wildlife and bird watching, and in the evening, guests can expect gourmet cuisine with local ingredients and an atmosphere in which no one has to explain themselves. For many participants, the combination of nature experience and relaxed, openly queer group travel is the real attraction.

Frequently asked questions

How does an LGBT cruise differ from a regular one?
As a rule the entire ship is chartered — a 100% queer crowd with its own programme of DJs, drag shows and themed parties.

What is usually included?
Cabin, full board, entertainment and pool are mostly included. Premium drinks, spa and shore excursions are usually charged separately.

Is the trip suitable for solo travellers?
Yes — the solo share is high on many trips, and there are often dedicated solo meet-ups on board.

What are the cancellation terms?
That depends on the operator. You will find the exact deadlines and conditions directly with the provider.

What about safety when docking in restrictive countries?
The operators are careful about route choices. At controversial ports, shore excursions are curated thoughtfully.
